John Mordecai is a native of Jacksonville and was born and raised on the north side of town in Panama Park. While in high school and college, he worked at a boat yard, fish market and warehouse. John graduated with Distinction from the University of North Florida in 1978 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

He graduated with Honors from the Florida State University College of Law in 1982. Since then, he has successfully handled cases for thousands of people from all walks of life; the amounts in controversy have ranged from under $5,000.00 to over $5,000,000.00. John holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell reflecting their highest available distinction for legal ability and adherence to ethical standards. He is also certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Civil Mediator.
